I don't remember exactly when it happened, but I remember the first time I ever made it through Arms Up. I felt victorious, on top of the world, invincible (until the next song), but that moment right at the end of it, and I hadn't dropped my arms?! Man! Amazing feeling.
One of my very first classes. Akosua was teaching and i was out of shape. Sweat was dripping, people were panting, music was pumping, but i felt like i needed to express myself. In the midst of everyone’s focus, i belted out a scream - my body needed the release and i felt like I needed to be true to myself in that moment. Everyone looked at me like i was crazy, but it was my truth and stood in it. Ive been screaming ever since - even when i teach.
Most memorable... Either, when I first noticed my whine smoothing out OR... when my cousin popped me on the booty and asked “where did you get that from?!” 🤣🤣🤣.
🤣🤣
LOL!!!!
Few understand this treacherous joy
